Overton Scouts was started in 1909 by Mr Childs, Agent for the Bryn-y-Pys Estate and its first leader was Mr Harry Richards. The Scout troop has been in continuous existence since then.The Group is now made up of Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts.
