Overton-on-Dee Women’s Institute

The Overton-on-Dee W.I. was founded in February 1925 and is still happily going strong. Our meetings are from 7.00pm in the Village Hall, Overton, on the 3rd Thursday of each month (2nd Thursday in December).

You are most welcome to come along for an evening or to join us. We are a diverse group of local women of all ages, enjoying each other’s company, listening to various interesting speakers, trying out new activities, going on trips of all descriptions, supporting our community, and invariably having great fun!  You can expand your horizons, learn, develop, and pass on new skills, all whilst making new friends.

The W.I. is the largest women’s group in the UK and is now a multi faceted organisation. It is involved with Local, National and World issues and Overton-on-Dee W.I. take part in whatever each woman is inspired by – there truly is something for everyone. Have a look at this year’s programme, there just may be something that appeals to you – we have a dynamic team of members always looking to keep our programme interesting and relevant.

The Annual Subscription is £46 for full membership. We always welcome visitors to our meetings for a small charge of £5, which includes refreshments.

We have a rich history – and you can be part of our future; helping us progress with new ideas, and the same enthusiasm which has kept our W.I. thriving in the Village for nearly 100 years!
