Overton Village Hall is ideally located in the centre of the village with adjacent car parking facilities.
The main hall is licensed for up to 250 people with a large stage and seating for 180. There are additional changing room facilities and a props. store, for the Amateur Dramatic Society funded by a National Lottery Grant in 1999.
There is a well resourced kitchen area that can be used to serve snacks and pre-prepared meals. There is a licensed bar that can be booked in advance.
The hall is used for a wide variety of “village” events including: plays, school events, dancing lessons, craft fairs, children’s and adult parties, Village Produce event, as well as regular Blues music events and a weekend Blues and real ale event every May. There is a new outdoor area for parties / wedding receptions.
Other regular activities include a Martial Arts group, SK Cobras, on Monday evenings, a Yoga Group on Thursday mornings and a Zumba Group on Thursday evenings. During the winter months – indoor bowls on Wed afternoons and North Wales Blood Service twice a year. Parts of the premises are also used by the Library, Overton Recreational Club and the Community Council Office.
In addition there is the Parish Room which is a meeting room (approx 40 people) this can be hired for committee meetings and is used by various clubs and charities including the Bowling Club, the Community Council and the Twinning Association.
The Village Hall operates as a Registered Charity and has a board of Trustees which includes a Management Committee who are responsible for the day to day running of the Hall.
